Camping in Mazama

This year's Memorial weekend camping trip included fifteen "adults", four kiddos and four dogs. We returned to one of our favorite spots in Mazama, along the Lost River.

Highlights for the boys were watching bugs, throwing rocks in the creek, snacking & snuggling, & helping around camp.

We even got a little time for a ride together for our 10 year anniversary (thanks to Auntie Elyse).

Fabulous weekend with friends & family. So many good moments.  :)

192

192 is our local brewpub in Kenmore. If there was a zipline across the slough, we could be there in 5 minutes & not hassle with carseats or driving. As it is, it's a 5 minute drive, 10 minute bike ride or 20 minute walk. With the huge outdoor garden, various ponds & friendly dogs & people, it's a great place to hang out with Blake (& get a good beer). They have pretty good food too. We first checked out 192 when they first opened, the summer of 2012, when I was very round with an unborn Ruthless. Derick, the owner, gets a kick out of watching Blake grow up, as he is almost the exact age of his brewery. Blake was 6 days old on his first visit to 192.
We were there again the other weekend & another regular took a couple sweet photos of Blakey.
 Cheers!

Mommy-Blakey Time

I got to spend today with Blakey. It was a good, full day.
We started it off with pumpkin pancakes (he ate 3!) & Aunt Debbie's video of her koi pond, with the voices of Blake's little cousins in the background. He must've watched it 30 times this morning. Then we headed out for a walk on our nature trail. We didn't see any ducks, but it's astounding how much the grass has grown in just the past week.
Soon after we got back from our long walk, he took a 2+ hour nap, enabling me to get some work done. After nap, we ate our lunch sitting in the sunshine in the backyard. That was followed by lots & lots of water play. Some water even managed to make it on the plants.
At 3pm, we headed off to spent a couple hours with our good friends, Lucy & Hunter (& their momma, Corre). Blake really enjoyed playing with the twins & everyone had a great time clambering all over the backyard toys, while Corre & I semi-relaxed in the sun.
And then dada came home & unfortunately Blake started falling apart a bit, as he didn't get a second nap. We got through dinner & he had an enjoyable bath before going to bed without a peep. Tonight he called me "mommy" for the first time (instead of "momma").
