3 things 2 things

This is a blog started by my wifes Step-father and for those who visit it they love it.

3 things 2 things

Check it out!

Damien Rice Sunday

Cloudy, windy, and cold. It is a Damien Rice type of day.

Helped Elyse move today. Her new place is really nice. I was very impressed. Bellingham is such a slow town in the summer. Maybe someday I can find a job up there. Me and everyone else who has lived in the area are looking.

The Jolly was fun as always last night. Good beer and good atmosphere. Well it is time to start planning Yellowstone. If anyone has a must see place let us know. It is going to be a great trip.

Cloudy Saturday

Well this is certainly not very nice weather. It is windy and cloudy. Atleast it is not raining yet. Got to see Nick and Lindsay last night. That was great. They are doing well, bought a place in Spokane and settling in. Hopefully we will be over there in October to see the place.

Tonight we are meeting at the Jolly Roger for some brew and to celebrate my birthday a little late. If I didn't call you sorry you are still invited we will start showing up around 7:30. It will be a good time, plus you will get to witness my little sister drinking dark beer. For some reason she really likes Night Watch. Hopefully it is on tap. We also have Brian and Gina reception earlier in the evening. Crongrats to them!

Sunday I need to help my sister move. So if anyone wants to also help she is offering dinner at Bob's or Boundry Bay for your assistance in lifting all her belongings. With my luck it will be raining, Bellingham is always good for a nice rain when you need to accomplish something.

Cleveland2

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Even though I think birthdays aren't a big deal it is always nice for people to remember. I haven't had internet for a day. This hotel is kinda lame. Oh well, on my way home tomorrow morning.

East coast time sucks. Sports don't start until really late. Example, Seahawks were on monday night football and the game didn't start until 8:30. That is so freakin late.

It was good to see family yesterday, plus I got to play in a giant bouncy castle. It has probably been 10 years since I played in a bouncy castle.

Happy Birthday, Levi!!

We all know that Levi doesn't make a big deal about his birthday--but I like to make a fuss over it! He is 26 today (while on a business trip in Cleveland), so post your birthday wishes here & I think we're going out a little later on Saturday night to celebrate!

Blogging From Cleveland

Well day one of my training to become a robot is over. It went well. All my nerves have been replaced by circuits. In all seriousness it went very well. I remembered more then I thought I would. Good old college always coming in useful.

The weather is low humidity. Yeah! It was a nice Sunday with my Aunt and Uncle. They are building a new house, too bad I didn't bring a camera, it is looking very nice. Tomorrow I will get to see my little (second cousins?). My cousin's kids. Is that a second cousin? I think it is. At anyrate 3 little boys, wahoo. What a crazy house for the next 18 years!

Cookout Breakfast

Running a little behind on our events...August 14th was the Gowey Cookout Breakfast, an annual tradition for Grandma's birthday. We all get together down at the lake & eat lots of food.

Grandma Donnie--81 years young!

Just some of the redheads: my sister, my aunt, & two cousins

Alan & his girls

The newest addition, baby Amanda (still so tiny!)

King Felix 2

We attended another of King Felix's games. He was outstanding again (8IP 1ER 11K;'s). He is so good infact that my wife is starting to ask baseball questions again, like when we were dating. Now that is impressive. What is a curve? What is working both sides of the plate? How do you hold a change-up? Music to my ears!

Megan arrives in 2 days. Then it will be like we are in college again. Roomates Rule! All kidding aside we are excited to have her live with us. Besides her mother and father owe me beer for moving all there shop tools for a second time. It is going to taste good.

Waterfall found?

It is amazing to think that in todays modern world that natural wanders can still be discovered. CNN is running a story about a 400ft waterfall found in a California park. It makes you wander what crazy things can be found in areas like the Olympic Mountains and wilderness Alaska where areas are yet to be explored.

King Felix

Eliza and I went to Felix's home debut with the Mariners. The kid is real good! 8 ip 0 runs 6 k's. We were sitting in right field and I was commenting on how good his curveball was. After the game however I learned that the pitch was actually his change-up. For those of you who are not baseball fans that is even more impressive.

Once you get to the end of the pictures there is a link to all the ones I took. Aaron and Chris also had cameras. I have a few of Aarons pictures and hopefully I will get more from both and I can post them.

weekend update

Well it has been a while since the last post. This weekend featured my company picnic at O.O. Denny Park. Nice little park I had never been too. Turnout wasn't great but what do you expect when you schedule it for the last weekend in July.

Sunday Eliza went on her first real road bike ride. We did a short loop by our house that included 2 rather large climbs. She hit them like a champ and better yet enjoyed the climping part. This is great news for me. We are going to participate in a ride of Kitsap in early October. Wahooo.

Next weekend we will be out backpacking. Heading to Tolliac point again. However this time will be a different group.
