ONE: the global campaign to end poverty

For anyone not familiar with the ONE campaign (also known in the UK & Canada as Make Poverty History), I can't recommend enough that you check it out. www.one.org

Heifer is a partner with the ONE campaign, which is raising awareness for upcoming events that could change history & go a long way towards eradicating extreme poverty & responding to the African AIDS crisis.

And before you groan thinking that one more organization wants your money--they don't. They want you. They want your voice to tell our world leaders that we will do something about extreme poverty.
So, check it out, & quickly, as the largest event (Live 8) is quickly approaching on July 2nd.

Ramblings

This is our new Female Beta.

Been a rather busy week. Did get to see Batman Begins last night. Excellent movie. I don't know that it was worth the 9.50 apiece we paid to get in but it was very entertaining.

Also have the new Foo Fighters double album. It is the best work they have done. The first disk rocks and the second is excellent to have in the background around the house. It hasn't left the CD player yet.

Go rookie M's. Mr. Morse continues to hit at a +.400 pace. What is so amazing is he was hitting .260 in AAA when he was called up. There is no way this lasts but it is sure fun while it continues. Now if we could just trade Boone!

Lois, Elyse, Mom...

Anyone interested in going to the Fremont Market again this Sunday morning?
I'd like to go, so just let me know if you want to do that this weekend while you're here.

Busy Weekend

Weather is finally turning and we had a good weekend. Yesterday Eliza went to Shelton and I worked and cleaned the house. Today was a relaxing day and had a little fathers day gathering with Eliza's family.

Congrats to my parents for joining the 21st Centery today by buying cell phones. Next weekend I will attemp to teach them how to text message.

Yet another amazing story

This is a must read!

Water from air

This is pretty cool.

Legend of a Bat Maker

This is a great little article.

Well our house is starting to come together

Here are some picts of our new place we our stuff on the walls. It is feeling more and more like home. BTW new Foo Fighters is awsome. I highly advise listening. Maybe Liza will take pictures of the back porch soon for you all. She is starting to grow several plants.

Haha notice we have Kayak ads right now. Good work Eliza.
The clock we got from Grandma Penick and the painting was created by Grandma Wagner. I like how they are in the same area and it is great that both fit our overall theme so well.
