As promised my wifes bruises from her run in with a tree.
As you can see the tree won this battle.

Weekend
Nothing too exciting this weekend. Continued to discover how buying a house in the greater Seattle area is near impossible, or atleast it feels that way.
Went for a nice bike ride, but no adventure. My wife did go bombing down a hill and run directly into a tree. Once I found out she was OK it had to be one of the funniest things I have seen. She was probably going 20mph and hit the tree so square her and the bike bounced directly backwards. She should have some nice bruises tomorrow. Amazingly the bike is unharmed. Rather impressive really that neither her or the bike was seriously injured.
Work should be crazy this week and Eliza has Heifer stuff every night.
If you are looking for adventure check out this guys blog. He is on one amazing trip and has been documenting it with amazing pictures.

VW and after market
Never have I dealt with a car so difficult to work with on after market anything. I have heard horror stories of radios ruining electrical systems, but I figured adding a hitch how hard could that be? Well it turned out pretty damn hard.
First the pre drilled holes on the hitch were miss aligned. How hard is it really to locate a hole. Now Jetta's are known for nickel and diming. Take earlier this year for examply. I come home one day and my wifes bumber is hanging off. The bumper is held on by a PLASTIC clip! Today I need to take out a plastic tube in the back by the spare tire. Sure enough the plastic clips are used again however this time they are the world most resilent clips. It took forever to get the tube our and I had to ruin of the of clips. Anyway 1 and 45 minutes into my 20 minute project I finally finished. Lets hope it pays off.

Houses
The wife and I started looking at houses today. We are looking in Kirkland, Janitia, Woodenville, Bothell, and really anywhere else in the area. As a person who grew up in Spokane it is very hard for me to wrap my head around the price of housing in the greater Seattle area. It floors me that there can be that much of a difference in only 300 miles. But then again I choose to live over here rather then over there. At anyrate we hope to be in a house by May or June. We will see how it goes.

Preparing Mars for life
This sounds like something my buddie and I used to debate when we were kids.
