Huskies come close, but in the end

They were not able to beat the #1 UConn team and battle the officals at the same time. Yet another case of Seattle sports being on the short end of some very poor officating. Lets break down the stats.

Fouls
Uconn - 19
UW - 31

Players fouled out
Uconn - 0
UW - 5

Free Throws Attempted
Uconn - 47
UW - 23

Goal Tendings NOT called in Overtime
Uconn - 0
UW - 1

BS Technical Fouls
Uconn - 1
UW - 1 (But that cost them 8 minutes without Brandon Roy)

Seriously just let a game be played straight up, why do the officals need to leave there mark and be the center of attention. No one is paying to watch you call fouls.

Great season for UW, and a great career for Roy has now ended. He will be a star in the NBA.

Great points. The one I read on Seattle Times this morning says that 2 of the 3 officials were from the Big Ten conference. Interesting. At least Mike Jensen is gone from now on.
