Bike to work Day

Friday is bike to work day. Be safe on the trails and wave if you see me. I will be on a Grey Kona and Eliza will be on a Blue Trek.

Happy Biking

Well, we biked to breakfast at the Dish this morning (Kyle's working from home today). Does that count? :) How did it go for both of you? Was there a much heavier volume of riders on the trails? We certainly saw a lot of bikes flying down the stretch of Burke Gilman that weaves through Ballard/Fremont. And kids, groups of kids biking to school with adult chaperones. (Look out!) We love that you guys love to bike! It's one of our joys, too. Have a great weekend, friends!

Biking to breakfast certainly counts! Yes, there was definitely a higher volume of cyclists out this morning, but we left early enough to avoid what was probably the worst of the traffic between 730 & 830am.
That's awesome that you saw a group of kids riding--Cascade has added on a program called Bike to School Day & I bet that's what the kids were doing!

FYI--tonight at the Meaningful Movies housed by Keystone Congregational in Wallingford they will be showing two movies about biking as an alternative form of transportation. Starts at 7pm--all our invited! We'll be there & will probably head out afterwards for a beer.

We would be there for both if we didn't have another commitment tonight! It sounds great.

And we had a cool, refreshing rain for the ride home on Bike to Work Day. I rather enjoyed the new rainfall smell, even though it also meant I got a bit wet & dirty.
