Mother's Day Weekend

It's now officially a tradition, as this was our second year getting together both our families & staying in a cozy beach cabin--this year's was La Push on Washington's First Beach. We all agreed the accomodations weren't quite as nice as last year, but we had a fun time & explored new beaches. Levi & I also got to spend a little time biking around the area, checking out the town & found a really cool little B&B in the woods.
I got a little carried away posting photos here, but at least you get a good glimpse of our weekend! Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Ralph & Lois walking the beach when we first arrived.
We walked out to the end of the La Push break water--here's the view of our cabins from there.
Sunset at First Beach.
Gotta have photos of Penicks at play

The folks enjoying Rialto Beach.

The view at Second Beach, looking north (supposedly one of the most photographed beaches in the US).
Walking.
Ralph taking a photo of us with a digital camera. :)
He got it right on the second try.
Cool driftwood--looks like a Haida raven mask.
Levi on a seastack.
We all decided this tree was really an Ent.
And a hobbit hole.
Sunset on our last night.

Great pictures! It's so fun to get out away from the norm - especially to the ocean!
Rialto Beach - when you walk around it sounds like Rice Krispies. : )
