Our beautiful, big boy is six months old today!
Almost 28 inches tall, weighing in just shy of 18 lbs.
It's amazing to see him make new developments, both physically & cognitively. They happen so quickly -- one day he doesn't do it, the next day he does. He's constantly moving & is very eager to be mobile. He sits up for short periods of time & just recently started to post on his hands & knees -- it won't be long before he's crawling! He loves faces, reaching out to touch the faces of family & strangers alike, especially other babies.
All of his growth to this point has been due solely to breast milk. Today was our first experiment with solids! He got a jump start on solids at his 6-month appointment today -- eating the paper on the exam table. :) Tonight we tried avocado & he was not a fan. He mostly wanted to play with the plastic bowl & after a couple tastes he fell apart in tears, drooling out the weird green substance as best he could.
We'll try again tomorrow!
I want to write more about all the fun things Blake is doing these days, but I'm so tired.
One thing he isn't doing, is sleeping in!
