Tea party

Saturday, October 1st was a day of festivities for the Gowey family. It was Aunt Kathy's 80th birthday celebration & all of her nieces & grand-nieces gathered at her house in Queen Ann for an autumn tea party. Lots of tea was drunk, finger food eaten, visiting & laughter, cake & presents, and even a quiz about the birthday lady. It was a special occasion for the third generation, it being our first time invited to the Aunties' famous tea parties--we were told if we behaved ourselves, we might be invited back.

The Aunties really know how to throw a tea party.

Our table complete with tea, fall decor & our KGB Quiz (Kathryn Gowey Bellis)

Four lovely ladies (my Aunt Beth, Aunt Kathy, Mom & Grandma)

The special auntie & her beautiful birthday cake.

The third generation behaving...

..and not behaving.

The incredible dollhouse we all enjoyed as kids & still do as adults.

My cousin/roommate Megan & her Mommy--can you tell they're related?
