Moonshadow Farm

Last Sunday I threw a thank you party for all those that helped pull together the Heifer Hunger Banquet. Volunteer Sharon thankfully helped me host it at her beautiful Moonshadow Farm. It was a small turnout, which made it a very low key, relaxing gathering & we all got to tour the farm & play with the animals (90+ chickens, ducks & geese, goats, donkeys, & even seven peacocks!).
Here's our Heifer kid, Lars, meeting a chicken.
It's a bit blurry, but that's me making friends with a chicken.
Sharon hypnotizing a mean rooster who was giving Lars the stink-eye.
Does my car seem worried to you?
Along with the donkeys, the little goats are lawnmowers.
A male peacock showing off.
Ever wonder what a peacock in full array looks like from behind? Now you know.

So where is this farm? Looks fun! And that picture with all the animals on/around your car is pretty funny!

The farm is in Duvall. For the past 7 years Sharon has done CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), but decided this year not to, though she is continuing with all kinds of farm events. Her website hasn't been updated with the new info yet, but you can purchase an annual membership to her farm & be a part of all the fun activities & events & visit whenever you would like. Her website is: www.moonshadowfarm.org

Chris--perhaps you & I can have a little day trip up to the farm this summer? Sharon would welcome us, I am sure.
I snuck up on the peacock & even got to feel those fluffy tail feathers. :)
