Home

The tree beside me is lit softly,
red balls shiny & bright.
Snow falls thick & quiet,
Under the streetlamp outside.
Julie Andrews sings Christmas carols,
peaceful strains that sooth.
The kitties lie on the couch,
Snuggled & happy.
A fire crackles behind me,
both heat & comfort.
My bed awaits upstairs,
Warm & cozy.

Goodnight,
Goodnight.

Don't you love Julie Andrews Christmas?! That was always one of my dad's favorites & so I've grown up listening to it & love it! It's not Christmas without Julie Andrews!

We did! We got our tree on Wednesday night. After both getting home & lying around in the living room wondering what to fix for dinner, I jumped up, "Let's go get our tree!" After rearranging the entire living room to actually make room for a tree, I was excited to finally head out & get it! So, we went to the Yakima Fruit Market's tree lot & Levi found a very nice Noble & so far the kitties have not knocked it over! :)
You'll get to see it tomorrow morning when we meet at my house.

I love your poem Eliza...that was such a georgous snow fall the other night! We watched it while listening to Sarah McLachlan's Wintersong but I should get Julie Andrews because I just love her voice! Thank you for sharing lets pray for a few more winter blast like that one this year :)...stay warm and cozy!
